As a skilled Addictions & Community Health Professional you can have a rewarding career in a wide range of community health settings whether social service agencies working with children, youth families or and programs for populations dealing with alcoholism, drug abuse, family violence and the aged.
Our program will provide you with the relevant knowledge on the psychology of addiction, relapse prevention and intervention, as well as a focus on family dynamics, interviewing and counseling.

The Addictions & Community Health program combines theorical knowledge with real-life examples to provide you with a comprehensive understanding of addiction and recovery from addiction. Industry-experienced instructors guide and support you as you prepare for a health worker career focused on helping others. Your courses include:
When you graduate, you will be job-ready with experience in your field. Your program includes a 7-week practical work experience in a community mental health centre, social service or outreach agency, corrections facility or other human services agency.

All Sundance College programs are provincially licensed/accredited and eligible for government Student Aid funding.
In many cases, this is the best option for students. The federal government has two programs that can help you fund your education. In addition, each province has its own financial assistance program. The type and amount of assistance provided usually varies depending on your individual circumstances. For example, more funds are usually made available to those supporting dependents.
If you have maxed out government-aid options or do not qualify, you may get the money you need from a bank or family. Our Student Financial Advisors will go over all options with you and assist you in completing an application for whichever funding option you choose.
